Alexandre Blanc is known to fight for privacy and raising awareness against the risks of public cloud. He is also trained and certified on multiple platforms for cloud security, including Aviatrix and many AttackIQ training certifications :
Awarded one of the 20 outstanding contributors to global knowledge sharing for 2019 by the European Risk Policy institute, he’s proud of bringing value to the daily cyber security data flow, sharing insight and advices, triggering discussions and valuable exchanges with his peers and other SME in the cyber and information security field. Named Linkedin Top Voice 2020 in Technology world wide, Alexandre Blanc makes a difference in the world of technology, especially on the cyber security and privacy field. This award shows that he’s one of the most impactful person in technology on linkedin in the world. He became cyber risk subject matter expert, as he correlates information from OSINT, and draw global trends in cyber threat landscape. His hands on experience on protecting sensitive infrastructures, combined with daily threats trend analysis and awareness raising, brought him to an essential position for the community, in regards to risk analysis overview, information sharing, from low to high level perspectives. He always aim to keep a practical and pragmatical views of the solution he advises. he loves to share about technology, to discuss about solutions, especially in open source context. A part of him is a real geek, always aware about new tips and tricks in computers and networks. He likes having international exchanges at work and for personal purposes.
Alexandre background in IT started in the 90s, while starting his journey as computer geek, involved in the life of a computer shop, aside of its sport career (skying and sailing). Went to university in the south east of France ( University of Toulon in computer science), and ran a business at the same time where he provided university with the renewal of computers and equipments. Member of the university servers administration team, member of a development group « le cercle » focusing on quality programming for industrial systems. He then worked for many organizations, private and public, from a COMPAQ maintenance center, serving sensitive military sites and governments assets (gov of Monaco, Casino of Monte-Carlo, and many others including some military related sites). Alexandre moved to Canada in 2011, and worked for a mechanical engineering software development company for more than 8 years, during which he drove the information technology and security department, involving classified data and military information. At the same time, seeing the growing cyber threats, he became active on LinkedIn sharing insights, trend and best practices in order to support organizations to defend against cyber crime and exchange with peers about their experiences as well. He’s continuous learner, and participate in many workgroups and discussion groups over LinkedIn, and other private groups, supporting the evolution of technology. Collaborated with a lot of US entities related workshops (DHS, FBI, DOD, DARPA) and leaders in the industry. He started to participate in international conferencing events, either as presenter or panelist in the recent years, following its growing impact in the technology world.
